As the UX team leader in a pioneering partnership with Accenture and Microsoft, I embarked on an ambitious journey to create the Delta Flight Crew App, a tailored in-flight service app for Delta's flight attendants designed to offer passengers a personalized experience. With no prior examples in the nascent field of in-flight experiences, we ventured into uncharted territory, drawing inspiration from e-commerce giants like Amazon and Apple.
My role evolved as we conducted extensive interviews with flight attendants and passengers to understand their needs and preferences. Armed with valuable insights, we focused on delivering a personalized experience that would leave a lasting impression. Imagine the delight of being addressed by name and offered your favorite beverage by a flight attendant in economy class - this was the key driving principle behind our app's functionality and experience.
With careful design, we adapted the app to flight attendants' unique environment, ensuring smooth interaction in tight spaces and prioritizing essential features. Our dedication to improvement led to an innovative in-flight app that enhanced personalized experiences and fostered airline loyalty.
